Regulating the use of Force by United Nations Peace Support Operations

January 25th, 2022 | 21:00 (Israel time) 20:00 (CET) 14:00 (EST)

This Book attempts to deduce regulatory standards that can close the gaps tween the Promises made and the Outcomes secured by the UN in relation to its use of force. It explores two questions: why the contemporary legal framework of the of force during Armed Conflict can't close these gaps and how the ‘Unified Use of Force Rule’ formulated herein, achieves this. This is the first book to coherently study the moral and legal aspects relevant to UN use of force.
