Bibliography and Sources for the Competition

Dear students,
Attached you will find the recommended bibliography list for the 5th national competition on IHL. This bibliography list may seem long and exhausting, however, it is neither exhaustive nor mandatory.
There are few guidelines that we recommend you to follow while using that list:
(a) Pay close attention to: (1) the case laws mentioned on the list; (2) the main books mentioned on the general list; (3) treaties and declarations.
(b) Try to read the commentaries to the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols (to those specific and important articles);
(c) Pay attention to the ICRC Customary IHL Study.
